Richard, Carla, Joshua, and Savannah Hay

Richard and Carla Hay founded SparkGrounds Academy with a bold vision: to create a school that does education differently—better. Drawing inspiration from proven teaching methods while discarding what doesn't work, they designed a learning environment where creativity, innovation, and hands-on exploration thrive. Their mission was simple but powerful: to bring the best tools, the latest technology, and the most passionate teachers into classrooms, ensuring students have every opportunity to succeed in an ever-changing world.

As successful business owners who recently sold their last company, Richard and Carla saw this new chapter not as a chance to retire, but as an opportunity to give back. They poured their energy and resources into SparkGrounds Academy, a school that embodies their belief in the power of education to transform lives. For them, SparkGrounds isn't just a school—it's a legacy project, blending their entrepreneurial spirit and extensive past teaching experience with their desire to create meaningful change for students and their communities.
